Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Providing a higher level of broadband network resiliency within the County, by establishing a mid/eastern portion of a County Middle Mile1 network ring that interconnects with the State’s Open Access Network (OAN) Middle Mile. 2, Providing the backhaul/backbone Middle Mile extensions necessary to facilitate affordable provision of Last Mile services to these unserved/underserved households and nearby businesses. 3, Developing laterals from the State’s Middle Mile network to most efficiently provide new Last Mile services to the unserved/underserved households and businesses. 4. Develop an intra-County Middle Mile ring that will connect back into the State Middle Mile and therefore provide an added level of redundancy and resiliency for the overall broadband networks in the County.
