The 53rd IBCT requires the renting of six (64) light towers The contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all materials, labor and equipment necessary to deliver, set-up, maintain, tear down, and remove Light Towers at Fort Irwin, CA. Prior to arrival, coordinate with Government Representative.

The Light Towers must be equipped with a towing pintle capable of being attached to a standard military High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV). The contractor can use an interchangeable hitch to place equipment for each location; however, the towing pintle must be in place no later than the day prior to the start of each POP.
The contractor shall ensure the light output meets or exceeds 4,000 Lumens. If diesel operated, the contractor shall ensure the light bulbs have a total power output of no less than 4kW and a total power output for the generator of no less than 6kW.
The contractor shall ensure the Light Towers run on Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD) OR Solar.
If using Diesel Operated power, equipment must be compatible with ULSD fuel. Government will provide ULSD fuel. The
contractor shall label each piece of equipment next to the fuel tank with the wording "Diesel Fuel Only" IF APPLICABLE. Failure to label accordingly will invalidate contractor claims regarding use of incorrect fuel. The contractor shall ensure all Light Towers are delivered with all necessary parts in accordance with(IAW) the operators' manual and generators must have a full tank of fuel (diesel operated) or fully charged (solar). The Government will not be responsible for returning equipment with a full tank of gas or paying to refuel the equipment at the end of the Period of Performance. The government will also not be responsible solar operated light sets that are not charged.
The contractor shall have 24 hour services and be capable of makinga light set solution operational within 8 hours of a service call. All backup units utilized in the event of primary failure shall be at no additionalcost to the Government.
