Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Communicate and prepare materials, as directed, to support and inform JPB staff on management of soil, hazardous waste, and other environmental compliance. • Review preliminary capital project plans to identify scope of work to be performed by others to address soil, hazardous waste, and other environmental compliance topics. • Prepare regulatory agency related annual reports, renewals, closure reports, and other submittals, as needed. • Provide various agency regulatory and procedural guidance and support related to soil, hazardous waste, and other environmental compliance, including: o Federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) o California Environmental Protection Agency (Cal EPA)/Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) o Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)/ California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA) o Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) o San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Boards (RWQCB) o City of San Francisco Department of Environmental Health, City of San Jose Environmental Services, San Mateo County Department of Environmental Health Services, and Santa Clara County Department of Environmental Health o Other regulatory agencies as necessary • Track updates to environmental regulations and provide guidance to JPB of how changes may impact current internal procedures, budgets, schedules, and other needs. • Establish, track, and maintain a database of the various compliance efforts. • Review third-party prepared assessments, plans, reports, and findings. • Manage Stormwater Pollution Prevention Compliance, including MS4 Permit inspections and reporting needs.
