Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Portland, through Portland Fire & Rescue is seeking proposals from individuals, firms, teams or consultants, hereafter called “Proposer(s),” with demonstrated experience in National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Technical Committee representation, and proposes to engage the successful Proposer for the following services: a. Attend and participate in at least five of the following NFPA Technical Committees on safety, training and fire ground operations: NFPA 13E; NFPA 1401; NFPA1403; NFPA1404; NFPA1405; NFPA 1407; NFPA 1410; NFPA1451; NFPA1452; b. Attend and participate in at least one of the following NFPA Technical Committees on air quality and self-contained breathing apparatus: NFPA 1852; NFPA 1981; and NFPA 1989 c. Provide information and training to PF&R on upcoming changes and advances in technical standards for firefighter safety, training and firefighting equipment d. Assist PF&R by providing information to assist in writing grant applications to help fund future purchases of emerging technology in firefighting equipment and standards.
