Scheduled Maintenance Service - Contractor shall furnish labor, materials and equipment as needed to complete periodic Preventative Maintenance inspection, testing and certification of fire/safety systems and/or related components in accordance with NFPA, California Fire Code and regulatory agencies having jurisdiction over the equipment herein. Scheduled intervals for Preventative Maintenance (PM) include annual and 5-year inspections, certifications and maintenance of the fire safety equipment and systems. Contractor shall maintain systems and their respective components in a good state of repair and ready to operate in safe, reliable and timely manner. Each facility shall be documented upon completion of scheduled PM services for work performed and the state of repair/performance upon completion. Unscheduled/Corrective Maintenance Services - Contractor shall provide services and/or materials “as needed” for emergency repairs and/or replacement of broken or non-functional fire safety equipment. These service calls (corrective maintenance) will be provided, subject to the approval of the City of Redding Building Maintenance staff, on a time-and-materials basis as further defined herein. Each service call shall be documented upon completion of technician’s field observations, corrective work performed and the state of repair/performance upon completion.
