The District’s Bond-funded capital improvement program includes the repair, modernization, and/or new construction of school facilities. Projects will require the support of qualified civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and landscape engineering firms. Anticipated scopes of work may include, but are not limited to: • Civil engineering support for site upgrades, including grading, paving, ADA access improvements, utility coordination, stormwater management, and underground infrastructure replacement (e.g., sewer and water lines). • Structural engineering services for the assessment, retrofit, and/or new design of loadbearing elements in permanent buildings, modulars, and outdoor structures. • Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering services related to HVAC upgrades, power distribution, lighting systems, fire alarms, intrusion alarms, intercoms, and plumbing fixture replacements. • Landscape engineering services in support of site improvements, play areas, and integration of sustainable design elements such as irrigation systems and site drainage. • Design coordination for new classroom buildings, transitional kindergarten (TK) expansions, gymnasiums, multipurpose rooms, and modernization of existing instructional spaces. • Upgrades to physical education and career technical education (CTE) facilities, including equipment infrastructure. • Campus-wide security improvements, including fencing layouts, security camera placement, intrusion detection, and access control systems.
