All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal. Specifications include, but are not limited to: Marin Transit, with concurrence from the NPS, is now requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide the management and operations of the Muir Woods Shuttle service for the next 4-7 years. The service currently operates weekends and holidays year-round and on weekdays during the peak season (June – August, Thanksgiving, and Christmas). The Muir Woods Shuttle service as described in this RFP is operated under a contract with Marin Transit and will continue as such throughout the term of this contract. It has historically been operated using Marin Transit-owned equipment, including the transit vehicles and all needed onboard communication equipment. The awarded Contractor for this contract will be expected to operate and maintain vehicles for the Shuttle service as outlined in the scope of service. For this contract, Marin Transit is willing to consider plans that utilize vehicles sourced through methods including, but not limited to: Contractor’s own fleet Leased fleet (maintenance may be provided by contractor or third party vendor) Up to eight (8) Marin Transit-owned vehicles, outlined in this proposal, with the understanding that the vehicles will be part of an upcoming replacement plan, to be recommended in this proposal and developed in partnership between Marin Transit and the contractor. Provide service between the Muir Woods National Monument and designated offsite passenger pickup/drop off locations. Provide vehicle operations, vehicle maintenance, and operating personnel. Managing the rider experience at the loading areas (parking end and Muir Woods end) prior to boarding and while loading including customer service and ticket validation. Determine and maintain bus schedules and communicate these schedules to NPS and Ace Parking to make available through the Ace-maintained online ticketing/reservation system. Adhere to the following service requirements. Passenger trips cannot arrive at Muir Woods before the park opens (see Attachment E for a summary of current schedules by park hours) A minimum of 60% of all daily trips must offer passenger pickup at the designated locations before 12:00 PM The last passenger trip of the service day shall arrive no later than 3 hours before the park closes Schedules shall allow passengers to visit the park for at a minimum of 2 hours before returning them back to their original pick-up location Collect and report on specific data and performance statistics Develop and maintain administrative procedures and financial records.
