After observation of the removal bottom by the geotechnical representative and any necessary recompaction of the exposed aggregate base course to a minimum of 95 percent of the maximum dry density, the area should be repaved with ¾-inch asphalt concrete in accordance with project specifications. The new pavement should be temporarily marked and should be sealed at least 3 months after placement and then permanently marked with traffic-rated paint.
