Specifications include, but are not limited to: Voluntary and immediate access to crisis intervention services, including integrated services for co-occurring substance abuse disorders. Provide comprehensive, flexible, client-driven, strength-based, trauma-informed, culturally, and linguistically responsive, community-based mental health services. Services will focus on wellness and recovery and linkage to ongoing community services and supports. Services are designed to provide an alternative to emergency department visits, to impact unnecessary and lengthy involuntary inpatient treatment, and to promote care in a voluntary treatment setting that is recovery oriented. This clinic will be certified as a Medi-Cal outpatient clinic. This clinic will not be a designated 5150 facility but will have the capacity to initiate a 5150 application. Services include: a. Walk-in, face-to-face, unscheduled services, including law enforcement (LE) and Community Wellness and Response Team (CWRT) referrals. b. Comprehensive mental health/co-occurring substance abuse disorder assessment and evaluation. c. Access to culturally appropriate supports and services. d. Medical screening. e. Minor medical treatment (e.g., minor cuts). f. Crisis intervention/de-escalation g. Immediate medication consultation and assistance to obtain short-term medication support. h. Peer support services for client and family members. i. Direct linkage to both the MHP and SUPT. j. Linkage to Managed Care plans.
