Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Montebello Fire Department is seeking a Medical Director specializing in Emergency Medical Services (EMS). The general responsibilities of the Medical Director will include, but are not limited to: • Overseeing the Fire Department’s EMS Program • Provide medical and program oversight • Medical consultations • Reviewing and evaluating administrative and patient care treatment procedures • Coordinating the medical aspects of emergency services and field care • Narcotic regulation oversight • Maintaining active medical oversight of the EMS Quality Improvement (QI) and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) process • Recommending, developing, implementing, and evaluating goals, objectives, policies, and procedures defined by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health Services and other health-related programs such as the Montebello Community Assistance Program.
