The Southern Region Emergency Operations Center project scope consists of the comprehensive demolition of existing conditions and new improvements of site and building infrastructure to support the mission critical functions of the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services Southern Regional Emergency Operations Center. The project shall be designed and built to meet or exceed the requirements of the Essential Services Buildings Seismic Safety Act (ESBSSA)b and be certified by DSA. The project will include an Office Building (approximately 34,000 gsf), a warehouse (approximately 20,000 gsf), a 120-foot-tall communication tower, a guard shack, trash enclosure, diesel generators, water storage tanks, and a sanitary sewer tank. The remaining site area will consist of landscaping, fencing, and storm water management improvements. The new utility facilities will require coordination with local utility companies for electrical, gas, cable/internet/low voltage communication, and the City and County for utilities such as storm drainage, wastewater, garbage, fire suppression, lighting, roadways for ingress/egress.
