: Services are required for the following events. a. Livestock and Cavalcade of Horses Stables – Fair time Only 1) Services are required for the annual 17-day California State Fair beginning in mid-July (extended dates may be required). The 2025 California State Fair will be held July 11 through July 27, 2025. 2) The material to be removed will include horse manure and miscellaneous kinds of livestock manure (beef and dairy cattle, horse, sheep, llamas, goats, and swine) in combination with (a) a relatively lower fraction of straw and shavings bedding material during daily removal; and (b) a relatively higher fraction of straw and shavings bedding material during major clean-outs. All material may include minor amounts of short-duration pesticides and may occasionally contain a relatively low fraction of wood shavings and other livestock bedding material such as rice hulls, kenaf or chips (contractor will not be required to remove large quantities of chips). Horse and livestock manure are segregated by pick-up sites. 3) Contractor’s services shall be coordinated with and performed under the direction of Cal Expo’s designated representative for Livestock/Cavalcade.
