The Project is limited to the rehabilitation of an existing culvert within Sheehy Creek. State Route-29, PM 5.07 Culvert Rehabilitation The Project is limited to the following activities: The inside of an existing 8-foot by 8-foot concrete box culvert will be lined with seventy (70) cubic yards of cementitious material over 1,335 square feet (0.032 acres) within 135 linear feet of the culvert (Exhibit A and B). The upstream area of the culvert will include access area and resetting of the existing 295 cubic yards of RSP to an area 56 feet wide by 40 feet long. The area will be underlain by 124 cubic yards of Class II backing RSP and 45 cubic yards of gravel filter material. Clearing of vegetation and trees will be necessary to gain access to complete the Project (Exhibit C). A temporary diversion pipe will be placed through the culvert and the existing interior surfaces of the culvert will be cleaned via high pressure water. An additional water diversion structure will be placed at the upstream limit of the RSP over 375 square feet (Exhibit B) Downstream of the box culvert work will clear 30 linear feet of the channel, 16 feet wide and 1 foot deep, for a total of 15 cubic yards of material from Sheehy Creek to reestablish flow line. The area of impact is 480 square feet (0.011 acres) over 30 linear feet of the trapezoidal ditch. Access along the bank will temporarily impact 421 square feet (0.001 acres). Damaged rebar along the bottom soffit of the existing reinforced concrete box culvert over 20 linear feet will be removed and replaced with new rebar and a new shotcrete overlay with then be applied. Reinforcement will be installed on all sides of the culvert and a 3- to 5-inch-thick layer of shotcrete will be applied to the interior of the culvert.
