Specifications include, but are not limited to: Daily meal and delivery service for children ages 5 to 21 years old attending court hearings at Edmund D. Edelman's Court - Shelter Care program. Edelman Children’s court hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, except for County holidays on New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Lincoln’s Day, President’s Day, Cesar Chavez Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Indigenous People’s Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas. Delivery service location: Edelman’s Children’s Court/DCFS - Juvenile Court Services Shelter Care and Transportation Unit 201 Centre Plaza Drive, Monterey Park, CA 91754 *Delivery hours of between 9am to 12pm. Average number of meals per day: Currently, the number of children attending court on a daily basis ranges between 10-20 children. Children are served breakfast, lunch meals, and snacks each day with and average number of 15 children per day. Meal orders are needed Monday thru Friday except for superior court holidays when the courthouse is closed (listed above). Orders will be placed daily by 5pm one day in advance of the delivery date. All meals and snacks are to be delivered one time per day. Meal service option: Meal services with hot or cold food options. A large refrigerator is available onsite at the court to store cold meals. Hot meals will need to be heated up before serving and also be stored in the refrigerator until it is ready to heat and serve. A microwave is accessible onsite for heating and reheating meals. Additionally, a 4- slice toaster and water heater are accessible onsite.
