Specifications include, but are not limited to: design, fabricate, and install four (4) new exhibits at the Museum of Natural History at Morro Bay State Park, 20 State Park Road, Morro Bay, California 93442.; • Convey the desired interpretive messages in an efficient, straightforward, relevant and simple manner by using both graphic design principles and interpretive writing; • Produce attractive, interactive, multi-sensory, durable, graphically appealing, interpretively written, and easily navigable exhibits for the public; • Invite exploration, encourage interaction, are accessible, and are accurate; • Offer hands-on and intellectual engagement for visitors with wide ranges of abilities, ages and backgrounds. Key exhibits shall involve more than one sense and address more than one learning modality; • Provide relevant information to visitors with diverse recreational interests; • Incorporate interpretive writing elements such as theme-based titles, provocative sub-titles, clearly written body text that uses metaphors, analogies, familiar terms, and first person and active voice wherever possible. • Support relevant State of California Content Standards for Social Science and Science, Common Core State Standards, and the State of California Education and the Environment Initiative curriculum; • Create an exhibit sensitive to diverse cultures, from the selection and display of objects and graphics, to the development and presentation of written and spoken text, including translation to other languages as an option.
