Specifications include, but are not limited to: Perris North Basin Groundwater Contamination Prevention and Remediation Program includes two (2) treatment facilities as described: • North Moreno Valley – Facilities include equipping of two (2) groundwater extraction wells (Wells #65 and #66) with an approximate combined flow rate of 1,400 AFY (approximately 700 gpm per well) located at Ironwood Avenue between Heacock Street and Nita Drive in the City of Moreno Valley, California. A centralized treatment facility is being designed to remove iron, manganese, nitrate, perchlorate, and tetrachloroethylene (PCE) from the extracted groundwater. Design is underway for the treatment facilities by Tetra Tech. • Southeast Moreno Valley – Facilities in this area include equipping of four (4) groundwater wells (Wells #206, #207, #208, and #209) with an approximate combined flow rate of 2,600 AFY. A centralized treatment facility is being designed to remove iron, manganese, nitrate, perchlorate, and tetrachloroethylene (PCE). Treatment processes included in the final design for iron, manganese, nitrate, and perchlorate may not be needed, depending on actual groundwater quality. EMWD may decide not to include these treatment processes in the final treatment plant configuration. Design is underway for the treatment facilities by CDM. The Long Lead Treatment Equipment included in this Request for Bid is summarized as follows: • Granular Activated Carbon Pressure Vessel System (PCE) • Ion Exchange Pressure Vessel System (Perchlorate) • Staggered Bed Ion Exchange (Nitrate) Work under this project requires the Supplier to provide the necessary treatment vessels (system) and related services to meet water quality objectives in accordance with the requirements in this request for bids. This Work will be included in the Bid Documents for purchase under a General Contractor at a later bid date and requires the Supplier to provide the system shop drawing submittals for review (action and informational submittals), fabricate and factory test all the equipment and appurtenances for the system, supply all equipment and appurtenances for the systems, provide all control system programming and hardware for a fully functioning system, provide operating and maintenance manuals for the supplied system, provide operator training and maintenance instructions, support and certify installation of the equipment and appurtenances for the system, participate in the testing and commissioning of the system, provide technical support and remedy defects during the warranty/guarantee period, provide warranties and performance guarantees for the system, provide spare parts as indicated in this request for bids.
