The contractor is to provide all labor, tools, equipment, and materials necessary to abate lead paint, prep siding, and prime and paint the approximately 4,500 square foot exterior of the Locke Boarding House. This project will consist of cleaning, scraping, siding repairs with putty or caulking (cracks, countersunk exposed nails, small holes, and cracks), sanding, priming, and painting. All work is to conform to current regulations, safety protocols, procedures, and CALOSHA requirements. The contractor is to complete the work within ninety (90) days of the contract start date. II. Project Site Requirements a. Scheduling and Coordination i. Throughout the service contract period and until acceptance by the State, the work shall be done while the building or grounds is still occupied by the State, tenants, and public. ii. An area near project site will be agreed upon by the State's Representative and the contractor for project set up and storage. iii. The contractor shall keep corridor open through project site to allow the residents a clear path wide enough to safely pass-through project area and clearly mark with cones or other acceptable means. iv. The contractor will work out a specific work schedule with the State’s representative prior to beginning the project. b. Site Use and Security i. It is the responsibility of the contractor to provide methods and materials that will ensure security of the building, scaffolding, and site materials from access by the tenants and public. ii. Confine operations at the site to areas permitted under contractual agreement. iii. The work area will be restricted to authorized, trained, and protected personnel, including contractor, contractor employees, State employees, and State and local inspectors.
