Task 1: Coordination Meeting/Work Schedule The Contractor shall participate in a pre-project coordination meeting with the CMD Contracting Manager (CM) which may be conducted over the phone. The CM and Assistant CM contacts will be provided to the Contractor upon contract execution. The pre-project coordination meeting will discuss goals and objectives for LBVI surveys, discuss the project schedule, schedule a site visit, discuss security protocol, and other items related to the project. The Contractor shall submit to the CM a proposed work schedule for implementing each task specified in this SOW. If necessary, the Contractor shall revise the work schedule so that it is mutually acceptable to the contractor and the CMD. Deliverables/Schedule: A. The Contractor will coordinate and attend a meeting with the CMD CM within seven (7) days of the Notice to Proceed for the contract. B. The proposed work schedule for each task in this SOW shall be submitted to the CM by email within 15 days of the Coordination meeting. Task 2: Pre-field Work Meeting The Contractor shall participate in a pre-field work meeting with the CM. This meeting shall occur prior to fieldwork to familiarize the Contractor with the installation and LBVI survey sites. At this time, required briefings (outlined in Section IV) may be conducted with CSLO Range Control and Environmental offices. Deliverable/Schedule: The Contractor shall coordinate and attend the pre-field work schedule meeting at CSLO prior to initiating field work. Task 3: Field Work A. Biologist Qualifications. All Surveys shall be conducted by a qualified biologist. 1) The biologist shall have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in wildlife biology or related science AND 2) Have a minimum of four seasons of field experience conducting unsupervised LBVI surveys AND 3) Be able to identify birds by song or call as well as by sight.
