The Oxnard School District (District) has requested the construction of new changing facilities addition (Project) at Lemonwood and Thurgood Marshall Elementary Schools to increase the space available for Grade 6-8 pupils who dress out for physical education classes, citing concerns that the current facilities are not of a sufficient size and do not offer adequate supervision. It is proposed that new permanent changing facilities addition be placed at each site to include changing rooms, storage lockers, PE coach offices, and restroom facilities, as well as toilet facilities. The Project includes the construction and placement of two such changing facilities buildings, one per school. The district has selected Caldwell Flores Winters, Inc. to act as the district’s program manager to direct the selection, design, approval and construction phases for the team of professionals required to implement the Project.
