The County of Sonoma is pleased to invite you to respond to a Request for Proposal for Law Enforcement Canine Training Services. Sonoma County Sheriff’s Department currently maintains a total of nine (9) canine teams (canine and handler). Eight (8) canine teams are assigned to SCSO Patrol master protection canine program, and one (1) canine team is assigned to the adult detention facility assisting correctional deputies in locating narcotics during unit and room searches. Canine teams may be added or eliminated as needed. SCSO has contracted with suppliers for law enforcement canine training for over 38 years, to include a variety of services to establish, train, and support the Sheriff’s canine program. A detailed list of services is provided in Section B (2) and (3) of this RFP.
