The following generalized task descriptions are presented as information only to assist consultants in preparing a proposal. In general, the scope of services is intended to provide the professional design services required to prepare 100% plans, specifications, and engineer’s estimate (PSE) for submission to the City’s Building Division and ultimately advertisement to receive construction bids. The scope of services also includes support during construction. The project is therefore divided into the following tasks: A. Project Management The selected Consultant will establish a strategy and schedule to meet the City's goals for preparing a 100% PSE set and manage the work to deliver the project in a manner acceptable to the City. • Project Meetings: Hold and lead kick-off meeting and up to four additional milestone progress meetings. The Consultant shall. prepare all agenda, meeting minutes, technical memorandums, reports and presentation for all meetings. • Progress Reporting: Prepare and submit monthly monthly progress reports and invoices. • Project Documentation: Assemble and maintain project files within SharePoint that include all documentation and data resulting from or related to the Consultant's services for the projects, including, but not limited to, survey files, engineering computations, documented assumptions, working drawings, meeting minutes, all correspondence, digital images, and video libraries, etc. B. ADA Compliance of Shasta Drive Access Prior to any structural or civil design for the retaining wall replacement, Consultant shall perform a topographic field survey of the Shasta Drive access into Laurelwood Park. Consultant shall review the exisƟng improvements and assess whether the exisƟng improvements are sufficient for ADAcompliant access. Consultant shall prepare a leƩer which discusses findings, recommendaƟons, and range-of-magnitude (ROM) esƟmates to construct any recommended improvements, if necessary, to meet ADA requirements. If necessary, consultant shall prepare an ”Accessibility Unreasonable Hardship Form for ExisƟng Buildings” form for review by the City’s Building Division (form aƩached as Appendix 6). Consultant should consider the boundary of the exisƟng topographic survey and supplement as necessary during this task. C. Design Development of Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) Consultant shall uƟlize the exisƟng topographic survey in Appendix 3 and the topographic survey obtained from the Shasta Drive to prepare 65% and 95% PS&E review submiƩals for City review and comment. Consultant shall submit plans to the City’s Community Development Department. Consultant shall incorporate the City’s comments following submission of each submiƩal and prepare a final (100%) PS&E which will be used to adverƟse the project for construcƟon bids. SpecificaƟons shall include incorporaƟon of the front-end general specificaƟons, which shall be provided to the consultant by the City.
