Specifications include, but are not limited to: LACDMH will hire a research consultant to develop and implement a qualitative research study. This study will measure the effectiveness of the Promotores Project Model (PPM), as an outreach and engagement strategy for mental health services. The primary purpose of this research study is to increase penetration rates, promote mental health access, and services that are available for the Latino Community in the County of Los Angeles. Also, the research findings and summary report will provide LACDMH with recommendations that are culturally specific and culturally defined relating to outreach and engagement strategies for the Latino community. Further, the recommendations can be embedded into the delivery of mental health services to appropriately serve the Latino community. In addition, this research project will provide the necessary findings and data to recognize the Promotores Project Model (PPM) as a Community Defined Evidence (CDE), Practice-Based Evidence, and/or Promising Practice within the public mental health system.
