1. Laboratory of Record Services • Act as the DSA-approved Laboratory of Record for assigned DSA-regulated projects. • Ensure compliance with DSA 103 form, lab accreditation, and verification processes. • Maintain proper documentation and submit all required Verified Reports to the DSA. • Coordinate closely with the Project Inspector (IOR), Project Architect, District Representatives, and Contractors. 2. Specialty Inspections • Perform DSA-certified inspections, including: o Reinforced concrete, shotcrete, and masonry o Structural steel welding and high-strength bolting o Fireproofing, roofing, and waterproofing systems o Installation of post-installed anchors and adhesive systems o Wood framing and other structural systems • Provide inspectors with appropriate DSA certifications and experience with California K-14 public school construction. 3. Materials Testing Services • Perform field and laboratory testing for: o Concrete, grout, mortar, soils, asphalt, masonry, rebar, and structural steel o Moisture vapor emissions, compaction testing, density testing, etc. • Review and verify mix designs, material certifications, and conformance with specifications. • Provide laboratory services per ASTM and other applicable standards. 4. Project Documentation & Communication • Submit timely and complete field and lab reports to the District and project team. • Identify and report construction deficiencies or deviations from approved documents. • Coordinate scheduling of testing and inspections to minimize construction delays. • At project completion, provide a final Verified Reports to DSA, and provide copies of such reports to the DSA IOR, A/E team and the District.
