3.1. Books 3.1.1. Vendor must supply the book titles, and quantities specified in Exhibit C – Pricing Schedule, including the required materials for processing, and cataloging. 3.2. Processing Books supplied must include the following processing elements: 3.2.1. Book jacket covers must be provided and applied to books with book jacket. - Book jacket covers must be 1.5 mm thickness, clear polyester. 3.2.2. Kapco covers or equivalent must be provided and applied to paperback books. - Kapco covers or equivalent must be 15 mm thickness, clear polyester. 3.3. Cataloging Vendor must provide a full bibliographic record for each title supplied to the following specifications. 3.3.1. Each bibliographic record must include at least the following fields. If there are additional fields in the record, they must be retained: - 008 – Fixed length data elements - 020 – ISBN - 035 – OCLC number - 1XX – Main Entry - 245 – Title Statement - 250 – Edition Statement (where applicable) - 264 – Production, Publication, Distribution, Manufacture, and Copyright Notice - 300 – Physical description - 65X – Subject/genre headings 3.3.2. SDCL will give preference to vendors who will update SDCL holdings in OCLC. If offered, SDCL requests that the OCLC number in each bibliographic record match the record in which SDCL holdings are attached. 3.3.3. Processing & Cataloging Errors 3.3.3.1. Vendor must credit SDCL for the full price of improperly applied book jacket covers, Kapco covers, and bibliographic records that do not match the item.
