Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City owns and maintains a closed landfill which is located on a 115-acre site east of Galleria Boulevard at Berry Street, approximately 1-mile northeast of the center of Roseville. Municipal solid waste was placed in the landfill from the mid-1960s through January 1, 1980. The closure of the Roseville Sanitary Landfill was completed in late 1995 in accordance with regulatory requirements. The current Waste Discharge Requirements Order calls for continued groundwater and landfill gas monitoring at the site. The City is required to submit a semi-annual and annual report to the Regional Water Quality Control Board for each monitoring program (Landfill Gas and Water Quality Monitoring). Regulatory assistance is needed for these processes and other regulatory-related inspections and reports, such as winterization plans and erosion control evaluations.
