Specifications include, but are not limited to: FOOD is the topic for CURRENT:LA’s second iteration to be launched in Fall 2019. CURRENT:LA FOOD will be presented at 15 public parks throughout LA, one in each City Council District, and each site will feature an art project and public programs. The issue of food is relevant and timely for LA with the development of such glories and challenges as food diversity and access; inequity and justice; waste and recycling; public health and communitybuilding, The momentum around such topics as eliminating food deserts, supporting urban agriculture, improving distribution systems, and strengthening food polity will be afrmed and reinforced. Los Angeles is poised to become an international culinary capital and role model for food issue solutions. Similarly, LA’s transit infrastructure continues to undergo an aggressive expansion, CURRENT:LA 2019 will utilize public transit as its geographical armature. CURRENT:LA visitors will be invited to experience Los Angeles’ mobility alternatives as they engage with foodrelated art projects and programs throughout the City.
