Patrol Maintenance Training: Twenty-Five (25) – One (1) day training sessions per year: All training locations will be prearranged and coordinated through the K-9 Program Coordinator. All training days shall be scheduled on either a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and will generally be scheduled in conjunction with a one-day detection training day. Refer to the FY 25-26 Training Schedule. One (1) K-9 Decoy and one (1) Trainer will be supplied by the contractor with all necessary equipment and present to participate at each patrol training session. K-9 patrol teams will travel to a training session at a mutually agreed upon location between the state and the contractor per the training schedule. Unless noted differently on the final training schedule, each training day shall last up to eight (8) hours. To ensure premium quality training, the ratio between contractor's Trainer to state's K-9 Teams for patrol is: One (1) Trainer / up to Nine (9) K-9 Teams. The average attendance includes up to Nine (9) K-9 teams If the state determines the number of K-9 Teams participating in a session exceeds the ratio, the state shall notify and direct the contractor to provide an additional Trainer for the projected number of K-9 teams. The extra trainer will be paid per the cost listed on the Cost Sheet for an extra trainer.
