GENERAL: The purpose of this request for information is to gather the vendor’s ability to provide professional janitorial services for the Forest Service. Services include janitorial services, general building maintenance, and repair work. This requirement is anticipated to be a 100% total small business set-aside. The Government is not bound to the information contained in the draft documents; however, it is anticipated that the final will be similar to this draft.
SCOPE OF WORK: This project is for janitorial services and general building maintenance for the U.S. Forest Service Wildland Fire Training and Conference Center (WFTC) and three (3) Barracks.
The regular Janitorial services shall be performed at frequencies determined by the Government. The quantity of office furniture or utilization of floor space is subject to change during the contract period. Performance shall be based on the Government’s evaluation of the results.
The General Building maintenance shall be performed at frequencies determined by the Government. These duties shall involve a wide variety of general and preventive light maintenance and repair work. Incumbents will perform these duties as assigned by the COR for WFTC buildings noted within this solicitation.
Maintenance/support may include, but is not limited to, touch up painting, light bulb changing, moving furniture, assembly of furniture, etc. Support services can include providing facility access (open a door), check on something in the building and report back, change batteries, deliver/retrieve keys to dorms.
The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those listed under Government furnished), and incidentals necessary to complete the work as specified.
CONTRACT TYPE: The anticipated contract is a firm-fixed price (FFP), performance based commercial service.
PERIOD OF PERFOMANCE: The period of performance is estimated at One (1) years with Three (3) year option periods. Not to exceed 4 years (inclusive of base and option periods).
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: Interested companies shall furnish the following minimum information:
A list of janitorial contracts that are on-going or previously performed within the last 3 years. Provide a description of the services provided to include:
- Hours of operation;
- Number of employees on location;
- Contract type (e.g., cost plus, requirements, firm fixed-price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, or combination);
d) Period of performance (start and completion date);
e) Basic contract award amount and final contract value;
f) Summary of contract work to include the location of the area of interest; key personnel, and equipment used to perform requirement.
