Proposer will coordinate with Swarco McCain to identify and procure the latest released version of the OMNI eX software. Costs associated with obtaining the latest OMNI eX software version for use in the City will be paid directly by the City to Swarco McCain. Proposer will coordinate with Swarco McCain to develop an annual software maintenance agreement covering both the OMNI eX local software and the Transparity management system software. Maintenance agreement costs will be paid directly by the City to Swarco McCain. Timing Conversions Proposer will convert eight existing signal timing databases to the new software. The signal timing will be reviewed and updated where necessary to address concerns with pedestrian and emergency vehicle operation. Testing new signal timing will be bench-tested against the railroad/ traffic signal interconnect test procedures developed during the initial development and construction of the Metrolink Arrow rail system. Proposer will also engage the CPUC to ensure that appropriate railroad preemption routines are implemented. Implementation: Proposer will coordinate with Swarco McCain, Metrolink rail signal maintenance, and City of Redlands traffic signal maintenance to implement the software update. After the new timing is installed at the intersections, Proposer will observe field operations at each intersection for both rail operations and normal operations for a minimum of two hours. Consultant will check the status of railroad inputs, vehicle detectors, emergency vehicle, and pedestrian detectors and report any failures to the City. Documentation hard copies of the timing sheets will be provided to the City for their records and placed in the signal cabinets. Any electronic copies of the old timing databases stored in the cabinet will be updated. Following successful implementation and testing in the field, Proposer will update the maintenance documents provided to the City and CPUC in December 2024 and provide the updated documents to the City.
