A. Contractor shall provide rehabilitation painting services at the Dry Creek MS. The work includes painting approximately 19,700 linear feet of exterior surfaces, 4,572 linear feet of interior surfaces, 6,376 linear feet of metal C-train storage containers, 1,000 linear feet of metal fuel canopy, 35 bollards, and 8,700 linear feet of the front metal gate. Contractor shall paint all fire extinguisher markings red in the buildings and replace up to 300 linear feet of fascia trim boards. Please see Attachment 2, Dry Creek Maintenance Station Pictures. B. Contractor shall furnish all personnel, labor, tools, materials, parts, equipment, and travel required to perform paint maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation services to the interior and exterior of the Dry Creek MS. C. Contractor shall purchase all necessary materials for the ordered services. Contractor shall get Caltrans Contract Manager approval prior to purchase. Contractor shall source these materials from major manufacturers specializing in the production and sales of paint and paint products. Contractor shall select products from companies such as Dunn Edwards, Sinclair, and Benjamin Moore, or utilize paint of equal quality. D. Contractor’s work shall include complete preparation and finishing of all surfaces except surfaces specifically excluded in paragraph G. E. Contractor shall remove or loosen all hardware, hardware accessories, plates, lighting fixtures, and similar items in place prior to painting as required for paint operations. Contractor shall re-install or fasten all such items upon completion of work. F. Contractor shall not paint the following surfaces unless otherwise specified by Caltrans Contract Manager in written request: 1) Aluminum, copper, brass, stainless steel, nickel, or chrome 2) Finish hardware 3) Acoustical ceilings 4) Flooring 5) Electrical fixtures and receptacles 6) Exterior pavement 7) Bathroom fixtures and accessories 8) Items with complete factory finish, as appropriate to industry standard 9) Code required labels, equipment identification, and performance rating plates G. Contractor shall paint the following interior surfaces: 1) Walls 2) Trimmings 3) Moldings 4) Doors 5) Casings 6) Windows 7) Jams 8) Coving 9) Base 10) Ceilings H. Contractor shall paint the following exterior surfaces: 1) Stucco 2) Siding 3) Fascia 4) Wood trim 5) Molding 6) Wooden fences around Caltrans property 7) Overhang 8) Windows 9) Bollards 10) Gas station canopy 11) Metal walkway and stairs I. Contractor shall perform interior and exterior minor repair work, which shall include the following: 1) All necessary minor patch work to any surface that need repair 2) All necessary to replace up to 300 feet of fascia trim boards 3) Scraping the eves 4) Sanding all surfaces as needed prior to painting 5) Caulking of the baseboards, windows, and walls 6) Nail hole filling 7) Minor spackling 8) Acoustic spraying of ceilings 9) Texture coating of exterior walls 10) Pressure washing of various exterior surfaces
