Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Project includes design, construction, operation, and maintenance of 13 Primary Mobility Hubs at existing Metro rail stations and approximately 85 Satellite Hubs located within a onemile distance from the 13 Primary Hubs in Hollywood, Downtown, and the City of Long Beach. The Primary Hubs will provide mobility options that are publicly and readily accessible through existing technologies such as smartphones or an interactive kiosk with transportation information. These options, and potentially others in the future, will help facilitate connections to and from all Mobility Primary and Satellite Hubs by providing information and mobility options to allow for riders to reach their final destination using demand-responsive transportation services. Satellite Hubs will primarily provide bike sharing services, but may also include bicycle parking, carshare, and jitney or micro-transit, and/or other mobility services when space is available and the need is defined. Thoughtful architecture of the Mobility Hub infrastructure, as necessary and environmental graphic design will be essential to communicate the Project components to the riders as they travel through the regional transportation system. The 13 Primary Mobility Hubs have been identified for this project and 85 Satellite Hubs will be decided later in the Planning Phase of the Project.
