COUNTY (Imperial County Sheriff’s Office) is seeking proposals for Food Service Management and procurement services at the Imperial County Jail. COUNTY will continue to operate the food service program utilizing the currently employed Food Services Department staff, The respective vendor will provide one Manager, responsible for food ordering, inventory, production and invoicing. It is the goal of COUNTY to contract with a company to provide professional management services for the production of inmate meal service at Imperial County Jail. It is our further goal that these services maintain or exceed the established nutritional and health standards included in the State of California Board of State and Community Corrections (“BSCC”) Title 15 Minimum Standards for Local Detention Facilities on food service standards, and that oversight be provided by competent, credentialed professionals in a manner that ensures quality and cost-effective results. To this end, COUNTY is seeking proposals from qualified food service companies specializing in large scale correctional food service operations.
