The District’s selected IT services company plays a key role in implementing and maintaining cybersecurity and infrastructure protections across all critical water systems, while also providing IT support to staff. This includes supporting servers, workstations, security systems, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), AutoCAD, and databases containing sensitive billing and asset information. Protecting these systems and SCADA from potential cyber threats is essential to ensure uninterrupted operations and service reliability. Physical and digital security measures are also necessary to prevent unauthorized access to facilities and data. Safeguarding water quality from contamination risks and protecting confidential information and infrastructure assets are top priorities for the District.
