CONTRACTOR shall provide services to dependent children in grades kindergarten (K) through twelve (12), and non-minor dependents (NMD) who are pursuing a High School Equivalency Certificate, i.e., General Education Diploma, referred by SSA. The population to be served as defined in this paragraph shall hereinafter be referred to as “STUDENTS,” and meet the following criteria: 1.1 Have been adjudicated as a dependent of the Orange County Juvenile Court pursuant to Welfare and Institutions Code (WIC) Section 300. 1.2 Reside in Orange County or one (1) of the contiguous counties defined in Subparagraph 3.53.5. 1.3 Have been ordered by the Orange County Juvenile Court to receive IATS; 1.4 Are failing and/or are below average in one (1) or more academic subjects and/or lack the necessary credits to graduate from an accredited California high school. 1.4.1 Failing grade and/or below average criteria may be modified at the sole discretion of ADMINISTRATOR, upon written notice to CONTRACTOR; or 1.5 Need tutoring services to prevent them from failing or falling below average, as determined by ADMINISTRATOR.
