The project consists, in general, of providing traffic control system and construction area signs; water pollution control work; construction site coordination; clearing and grubbing; construction survey staking; replacing failed sections of asphalt pavement surface & base; slurry seal pavement; saw cutting and removing existing concrete/asphalt concrete curb, gutter, sidewalk, pedestrian ramps; constructing new concrete curb, gutter, driveways, driveway and walkway conforms, and pedestrian ramps; removing trees; installing and maintaining new trees and shrubs; installing HMA conforms at new lip of gutters; coordination with respective utility companies, businesses and property owners; reconstructing drainage inlet; adjusting to finish grade manholes, EBMUD water meter and valve boxes, PG&E boxes, sewer cleanouts and other various utilities; installing thermoplastic traffic stripe and pavement markings; furnishing and applying water; and cleaning of the site at the end of the job. The project and its construction activities must include Best Management Practices to protect the environment.
