The City of Laguna Beach is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide onsite and remote 16-24 hours -per week Project Support Services for Information Technology to meet the following types of specialized project-based needs detailed below. The City retains the right to select and award a contract to one or more firms to provide these services. Please include your firm’s expertise and billable rate for each specialized area description listed below. Also include any previous experience your firm has in providing similar services to local municipalities. In its project work, the Consultant will facilitate and support the implementation of information technology modules to enhance the City’s business functionality and overall performance, while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction. These specialized areas are requested on an as-needed basis, in the following specialized areas in the City’s technical environment: 1. Infrastructure and Network Support • Designing and optimizing on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid network infrastructure • Perform system updates and configuration adjustments as needed. • Conduct regular log reviews and report findings to the CITY’s IT Manager. • Configure, update, and maintain the following systems to ensure optimal performance and security: o Palo Alto firewalls o Juniper firewalls o Aruba switches o Cisco switches. o Ubiquiti switches. o Ubiquiti wireless systems o Meraki switches and wireless Aps o Aerohive wireless systems o Infobox appliances • Maintain and update the City’s network diagrams to reflect current configurations • Support for VPN connectivity and secure remote access • Virtualization support (e.g., VMware) • Integration of new network equipment and technologies 2. Cybersecurity Services • Provide security incident management services by investigating and resolving incidents related to: o Cortex XDR security alerts o KnowBe4 phishing reports and related configurations o Microsoft Defender in Office 365 • Provide security vulnerability assessment and Penetration services 4. Project-Based IT Services • Cloud migration planning and execution • Network redesign and infrastructure upgrades • Business continuity and disaster recovery (BC/DR) assessments • Application development, integration, or replacement planning 5. Documentation and Reporting • Document all changes, updates, and completed tasks. • Provide a summary report to the IT Manager detailing: o Work completed. o Any incidents resolved. o Recommendations for future improvements, if applicable.
