IT Needs Assessment

The District invites submittal of proposals from qualified firms for the preparation of an Information Technology (IT) Needs Assessment. The District intendsto engage in a one (1) year contract with the successful Respondent. The intention of the proposed contract is to identify areas where the Port can adjust to meet organizational technology needs while leveraging available and innovative IT technologies. The vendor must possess proven experience in providing this type of needs assessment to medium‐sized government entities. Information Technology at the Port The Port of Stockton IT Department is responsible for providing network resources, infrastructure and technology solutions for Port staff working both on premises and remotely. Under the umbrella of the Administration Division, reporting to the Deputy Port Director of Administration, the IT Department plans, maintains and upgrades all systems and services as well as Data Center operations and disaster recovery planning. The 2025 staffing level for the IT Department is six (6) full‐time positions: 1. IT Manager 2. Systems Engineer 3. Senior GIS Analyst 4. IT Technician II 5. IT Technician I 6. IT Help Desk Technician The IT operating budget for FY26 is $3.1 million, which includes staff, software, support & maintenance, equipment, system upgrades, procurement and consulting services.
