Basic Research Curator must be able to travel and examine public and private collections of artifacts for use in the museum's forthcoming publication, "Arkansas Made III". The basic field historian must have an understanding of American decorative and fine arts, as well as the art and decorative art of the American South. The Research Curator must know how to catalog and analyze objects relating to artist and artisans working within the state of Arkansas from 1871-1950. The research project is the second phase of the original artisans and artisans project, which resulted in the two volumes entitled, Arkansas Made: A Survey of the Decorative, Mechanical and Fine Art Produced in Arkansas, 18191870, published by the University of Arkansas Press, 1990.
