The U.S. Army is conducting market research for horse trainers to support the Old Guard that uses horses at Arlington National Cemetery and other official events for the U.S. military in the United States. The horse trainers would provide augementation to a U.S. Army horse herd manager at Joint Base Meyer-Henderson Hall responsible for the overall horse health, care, and training. The contractor shall train all horses as described in Clinton Anderson’s The Method, to neck rein, and to drive in accordance with Postillion riding styles. The horses will also need to be trained to move a caisson wagon with a casket.
