Specifications include, but are not limited to: UC San Diego Health is soliciting proposals in response to this Request for Proposal (RFP) for selection of a Vendor with whom UC San Diego Health can establish a contract for cubicle curtain (privacy curtain) cleaning services. Qualified Vendors should read the RFP requirements in full, and respond to each question or requested qualification with enough detail to ensure that UC San Diego Health has a complete understanding of the Vendor’s capabilities to perform the requested services. Failure to do so may result in a determination that the Vendor’s response is incomplete and therefore disqualified from further consideration. UC San Diego Health intends to enter into an agreement with a single supplier for a term of 3 years with an option to renew the agreement for two successive 1-year periods. This solicitation, the evaluation of proposals, and the potential award of any resulting contract shall be made in conformance with applicable policies, procedures, regulations and laws. UC San Diego Health reserves the right to withdraw this RFP at any time to contract for all of a portion of the winning proposal. All documents submitted in response to this RFP will become the exclusive property of UC San Diego Health and will not be returned. Full laundry service 6 days a week (Monday – Saturday). 1-day turnaround service on all items except Sunday. All deliveries include stocking and maintaining curtain inventory. An inventory control list for reference and customs labelling/signage for the curtain storage racks shall be provided by the vendor. Service includes inspection of hardware, use of temporary curtains, maintaining and accurate inventory record of all curtains and their locations, tagging existing and new curtains to ensure they are returned after cleaning, and installation of clean curtains. PICK-UP & DELIVERY SERVICE o Provide soiled curtain container properly labeled for each designated location o Next Day Service o Deliver clean curtains to linen room o Organize and Stock Curtain Inventory o Will cross strike picket lines to perform service DEPARTMENT INSPECTION o Inspect Curtains for proper style/size/color ANNUAL CUBICLE CURTAIN & DRAPE CLEANING SCHEDULE o Scheduled quarterly or bi-annual cleaning of scheduled departments o Temporary curtains provided for all patient areas o Inspection of curtain tracks and hardware for proper function o Provide minor repairs (add curtain hooks, repair tears in curtains) o Custom cleaning frequencies for each department o EVS report provided within 24hrs to document cleaning history o Historical cleaning records provided in hard copy or digital form for JCAHO and CDPH o Correct curtain size & style verification o After hour service available for clinics and high use departments
