Valley Water seeks a qualified contractor to remove existing gates and furnish and install new high-speed roll-up doors at two Main Campus sites, Winfield Warehouse and the Crest Building in San Jose. At Winfield, the work includes demolishing two swing gates and installing a new door for an opening about 20 by 16 feet with a minimum opening speed of 60 inches per second, a multi-layer ultraviolet-protected reinforced steel slat curtain, new steel framing, a direct drive motor rated 1 to 2 horsepower, and a NEMA 4X control panel with interior push-button controls and no exterior access, with LiftMaster or equal acceptable. Valley Water will provide 460 volt three phase power within three feet of the control box, and the contractor will make all electrical connections to the control panel, floor loop, and photoelectric safety sensors. At the Crest Building, the work includes removing one existing roll-up gate and installing a new door for an opening about 20 by 7 feet with a minimum opening speed of 45 inches per second, a direct drive motor, NEMA 4X controls, an interior push-button station, and exterior integration by dry contact to an existing card reader.
