The City of Riverside’s Public Utilities Department (hereinafter referred to as the City), is soliciting Bids (here in after “Bid”) from qualified Herbicide application contractors (hereinafter “Bidder”) to provide the following complete herbicide application services at various Public Utilities facilities on the Gage Canal Reach’s. The work to be done, in general, shall include furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals, unless otherwise specified, to maintain and complete the project in compliance with the Specifications and to the satisfaction of the Administrator. The project involves herbicide application services including hand work by mechanical means and / or vehicle equipment to spray the Canal Reach’s fence-line and open space areas on approximately Thirty-Six (36) Canal Reach’s. More specifically approx. Sixty-Five (65) acres of area of the Riverside Public Utilities Water Department’s Gage Canal right of way located in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. Canal Reaches are approx. fifty (50’) to one hundred feet (100’) wide by five hundred feet (500’) to fifteen hundred feet (1500’) in length. Work shall be performed as needed on a quarterly basis, up to four times a year, as more particularly described in Part 3 of these Special Provisions.
