Providing rental of heavy construction equipment. For the purpose of this RFP, Heavy Equipment shall be described as large, purpose-built machinery used for earthmoving, grading, material handling, paving, and similar large-scale construction tasks. The COUNTY typically utilizes heavy equipment for the following projects: Roadway, infrastructure construction and maintenance – such as grading, paving, earthmoving, trenching, demolition, lifting, hauling, site preparation, vegetation management, and equipment/material transport. Landfill operations – including refuse compaction, soil movement, slope stabilization, and site access maintenance. Stormwater and flood control projects – such as channel clearing, levee reinforcement, erosion control, and sediment removal. Emergency response and disaster recovery – including debris removal, site access restoration, water diversion, and temporary infrastructure support during wildfires, floods, earthquakes, or other critical incidents.
