o Contractor will be responsible for the proper disposable of the existing tactile. o Install new ADA, yellow tactile on platform: ▪ Install new mortar or structural grout at all depressed areas where tiles are to be removed. Form and re-pour with structural grout areas that are approximately 2’ x 4’ x 6”. ▪ All surfaces will need to be floated and prepped before applying new tactile. The finished platform should be free of any tripping hazards. All expansion joints will need to be filled with SIKA Flex 1A to allow room for expansion. Additionally, apply SIKA Flex lA to all concrete joints located along the platform for preventative maintenance. ▪ Install new traffic-rated yellow tactile, 2’ x 4’ x 1/8” surface-mounted staggered dome TWS panels on concrete using M-1 adhesive applying with a ¼” trowel to ensure the entire surface will be covered. Use 2” aluminum anchors to mechanically fasten panels. To avoid tripping hazards, all transitions shall not exceed 1/8 of an inch. o Perform yellow line re-striping on platform: ▪ Re-stripe safety yellow line with 2 coats of safety yellow paint. ▪ Fill in large cracks with SIKA Flex 1A compound.
