The objective of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to award a five-year agreement, with two fiveyear extension options exercisable at RAP’s sole discretion, for the operation of high-quality concession offering bicycle rentals, hiking/biking tours and shuttles, to a successful proposer who will: • Operate, market and brand an exclusive and fun day biking, hiking and shuttle tours to the world-famous Hollywood sign and other premier locations in Griffith Park. Tours will include a well-informed tour guide and various other options. • Optimize visitor attendance and satisfaction by providing tours and all requisite safety equipment throughout Griffith Park and to the Hollywood sign at reasonable market prices. • Provide, install, and/or renovate any necessary structures or equipment, including outdoor furnishings, in order to create an attractive, inviting, and profitable Concession. • Provide an ample inventory of electric bicycles, hiking equipment, and electric shuttles. • Provide all necessary equipment and accessories such as bicycle racks and related equipment. • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the Concession to the satisfaction of RAP and meet industry standards by providing on-going maintenance of structures, furnishings and equipment. • Establish and increase a strong customer base through the use of marketing and advertising tools and outreach to the community. • Implement, maintain, and enforce all health and safety rules and regulations as required by the City, county, state and federal agencies. • Demonstrate awareness of the demographics and special needs of the community. • Work in partnership with RAP during the normal course of business.
