The purpose of this Scope of Work is to outline the requirements for providing graffiti abatement services at various locations throughout the City of Los Angeles. These services are intended to remove graffiti from vacant, abandoned, or substandard properties that have received enforcement orders from the City. The Contractor shall perform the Work to abate all graffiti and perform any exterior painting as specified by the Work Order. ABATEMENT 2.1.1 Spray Cans The use of spray cans is strictly prohibited under any circumstances. 2.1.2 Paint All paints used must be lead-free and non-toxic, and shall uniformly cover or otherwise obscure the graffiti, leaving no visible trace of the markings. The paint color shall match the color of the surface being painted as closely as possible. 2.1.3 General Work Requirements The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, tools, materials, equipment and services necessary to provide graffiti abatement and exterior painting as designated by the General Manager or designee, by Work Order, throughout the term of this Contract in and for the City at and for the basic price per square foot listed in Exhibit 5 – Bidder’s Cost Form. The Contractor shall perform said work strictly in accordance with Work Orders and specifications identified therein. The Contractor will consult the Inspector or Senior Inspector who issued the Work Order to clarify any questions regarding specifications within a Work Order prior to starting that work. Any estimates given by the City of the amount of Work to be performed by Contractor are only estimates of the City’s requirements. The Contractor agrees to furnish more or less than the estimates in accordance with actual needs as they occur throughout the Contract term at the unit price(s) and service levels negotiated.
