1. Scope of Services The Contractor shall provide all labor, vehicles, equipment, supplies, 2-way radios, staging, safety and materials necessary to perform the work. • Working Hours Begin at 9:00AM or Later. Required traffic control, set up, or other safety measures required by the City of Ventura or Union Pacific Railroad may begin at 8:30AM. • End Time for Working Hours is 3:00PM or Earlier. Any traffic control, set up, or other safety measures required by the City of Ventura or Union Pacific Railroad must be removed by 3:30PM so flow of traffic is not effected. • Contractor must provide to City of Ventura Management/representative a planning and design schedule 48 hours prior to the start of work. • Contractor is responsible for the set up and breakdown of all safety containment equipment for each service. • Contractor must install protective and/or safety measures for the traveling public and /or pedestrians. • Contractor must have fall protection equipment training for any staff working on: ladders, scaffolding, safety harness, etc. • For work on the Trestle located between California Street and East Front Street a fall safety harness is mandatory. • Flaggers’ as required or needed at the direction of City management or representative and Union Pacific Railroad. • Union Pacific Railroad flaggers will be provided up to six times a year. Additional service/costs are at the contractor’s expense if needed or required. o Contractor must notify Union Pacific Railroad and City of Ventura management/representative, 7 days prior to graffiti abatement project. o Note: Union Pacific Railroad flaggers are required if contractor has employee’s working within 15 feet of any railroad track(s). • Contractor is responsible for all tools and equipment required for preparation to paint, for painting, and clean up. • Contractor is required for surface preparation prior to painting where required. • For graffiti on Trestle solvent cleaning and/or special hand tools for cleaning may be required and is the responsibility of the Contractor. • For graffiti on Trestle instrument to measure dew point and other environmental conditions may be required and is the responsibility of the Contractor. • When covering and painting over graffiti the City of Ventura requires the work to be boxed or paint seam to seam/ panel to panel. • Abate all graffiti on Trestle with specific paint (listed below) - Every 6 Months. o PWB-162A leafing Aluminum finish paint waterborne acrylic latex vehicle. (City will provide manufacturer)
