1) Inspection of fuel tank, fuel lines, and fittings for defects and leaks. Contractor shall replace filters and lines, if necessary. 2) Check coolant level and tighten fittings for hoses when necessary; replace if needed. 3) Check radiator fan, shroud, and radiator core fins for restrictions, cleanliness and or defects. 4) Change oil and filter. 5) Check engine drive belts, pulleys, and hoses for defects. Adjust or replace if necessary. 6) Check block heaters for proper operation. 7) Inspect exhaust system for any cracked or broken parts. Tighten all mounting as necessary. 8) Inspect fuel injection pump and transfer pump for defects. 9) Battery inspection shall include terminals, battery cables, connections, electrolyte, and specific gravity levels. Apply terminal preservative. 10) Check auxiliary battery charger for proper operation. Replace any batteries over three (3) years old, which will be requested by Caltrans Contract Manager via Service Request.
