Specifications include, but are not limited to: Safety Element Update Pursuant to Government Code Section 65302(g), the City of San Dimas must update its SE. The last update to the Safety Element was completed in September 1991. Portions of the City are in designated Very High Fire Hazard severity zones. The project will update the SE to address flood hazards, fire hazards, evacuation routes, climate adaptation, and resilience strategies. The SE must be updated to comply with the following State regulations as fully enumerated in Government Code Section 65302(g): 1. Identification of flood hazards with a set of comprehensive goals, policies, and objectives for the protection of the community from the unreasonable risks of flooding. 2. Address the risk of fire for land classified as state responsibility areas, as defined in Section 4102 of the Public Resources Code, and land classified as Very High Fire Hazard severity zones, as defined in Section 51177. 3. Update the Safety Element to address climate adaptation and resiliency strategies applicable to the City.
