Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Guard Service Duties. The guard service duties will include the following, depending on the location: • Identification Inspection and Validation of Airport ID badges and other authorized credentials. • Pre/Post Security Inspection of employees and their belongings. • Pre/Post Security Inspection of concession/tenant deliveries and merchandise. • General Security Services in response to Transportation Security Administration (“TSA”) regulatory requirements or emergencies. • Security Services at Passenger Security Checkpoints and Exit Lanes during non-TSA. screening hours. • Air Operations Area (AOA) access gate Vehicle Inspections and Security Services. • Maintaining a digital log of daily post activities in a format acceptable to the Airport. B. Post Duties. Assigned posts are identified as either Regulated or Non-Regulated. 1. Current Regulated Post Positions. All regulated post positions operate in high security environments, and inspectors/guards will be responsible for duties related to securing the Airport against all threats as well as compliance with TSA and Airport regulations . Additionally, the nature of these posts requires that: • Inspectors/guards have experience with and/or be familiar with current TSA regulations regarding prohibited items as well as Airport Rules and Regulations; and • Inspectors/guards have a State of California Guard Card. • Support Anti-Terrorism by Fostering Effective Technologies (SAFETY) Act certification is strongly preferred. 2. Current Non-Regulated Post Positions. Non-Regulated post positions operate in less restrictive security areas, and inspectors/guards will be responsible for duties related to securing restricted areas of the Airport that are not subject to TSA Regulatory Requirements. As a result, these posts can be staffed by inspectors/guards that may not have experience with or training on current TSA regulations or experience in an Airport environment. The nature of these posts requires that: • Inspectors/guards shall be familiar with current Airport Rules and Regulations; and • Inspectors/guards have a State of California Guard Card.
